I love watching my husband watch the Memory Board. We have it sitting right across from where he eats so it's easy for him to see. But he even watches it from his chair in the den. The other day, he said, "I know that guy" when a picture of my brother showed up, and then when my brother came for a visit, he knew him instantly. And I even have pictures of me, and messages to my husband that my caregivers can point out and reinforce when I'm away from the house. I truly think it helps him to feel the love and connection that I want him to have every day. I also love it when family members send pictures and messages for both of us. It helps me to feel less alone as a caregiver who's taking care of her husband at home.
